Our Accommodation
Our award-winning lodges in Amazonas and San Martin offer birders a luxurious experience that other tour operators cannot rival. They are located at key points on the Northern Peru Birding Route, located in areas of outstanding natural beauty and biodiversity. Our tours do not incorporate camping, but we do not compromise on sighting of birds, endemic areas and birding hotspots.
Is the first hotel of its category in Tarapoto and throughout the San Martín region. The aparthotel concept allows for a greater space, equipment and comfort in our rooms, all equipped with living rooms, kitchenette and dining room, one or two bedrooms and bathrooms.
Situated on the banks of the River Huallaga – a biological bridging point due to its location at the juncture between the Cerro Escalera Regional Conservation Area and the Cordillera Azul National Park. Three distinct ecosystems run successively along the length of the Huallaga River: tropical dry forest, the upland montane forest and the lowland forest of the Amazon basin, providing incredible birding opportunities.
Located in front of the spectacular Gocta Falls, surrounded by mountains, with easy access to Chachapoyas and Kuelap Fortress. It is easily accessible, only 22 km from Pedro Ruiz, the arrival point for buses coming from Tarapoto and Chiclayo, and 42 km from Chachapoyas, the colonial capital of the region.

Chaparri Ecolodge is located in the dryforests of northern Peru. The lodge provides a tranquil escape in a spectacular landscape of the foothills of the Andes with excellent wildlife viewing opportunities, and is located close to the principal archeological sites and museums of Lambayeque.
The Owlet Lodge is a great place to see Long-whiskered Owlet (Xenoglaux loweryi), various antpittas, and many other rare and exciting birds. It is also home to the yellow-tailed woolly monkey (Oreonax flavicauda) and the most beautiful orchid of the Alto Mayo – Phragmipedium kovachii, also known as Phragmipedium peruvianum.
The Huembo Interpretation Center is located within a conservation easement of 39 hectares (96 acres) established in 2005, near the town of La Florida Pomacochas. This reserve is owned by the local community and managed by ECOAN. It protects remnant forest patches that provide habitat for resident and migratory birds and other wildlife. It lies within the Utcubamba River Valley, recognized by the Alliance for Zero Extinction as a conservation priority due to the presence of the Marvelous Spatuletail (Loddigesia mirabilis), probably the most spectacular of all the hummingbirds.
Los Horcones de Tucume is part of San Antonio village, between the villages La Raya and Nancolan. Only separates us from ancient mud city “Tucume Pyramids” by a small carob tree forest with birds like the Peruvian Thick-knee, owls, Pacific Hornero, among others.
It provides an excellent location for observers of orchids and native birds, including parrots, hummingbirds, owls, magnificent condors, quetzals, among others. The area includes numerous archaeological sites to which day trips can be arranged, providing opportunities to observe local markets and share the daily life of the communities of Leymebamba.
